The Council for Investing in Female Entrepreneurs (CIFE) was set up as a result of the Alison Rose Review of Female Entrepreneurship, commissioned by the Treasury and led by Alison Rose, CEO of NatWest Group, in 2019.
The review has shed renewed light on the barriers faced by women starting and growing businesses in the UK and identified ways of unlocking this untapped talent. In response, the UK government has announced an ambition to increase the number of female entrepreneurs by half by 2030, equivalent to nearly 600,000 additional female entrepreneurs.
The Invest in Women Hub, along with other initiatives, such as the Investing in Women Code, is here to help achieve this objective. The Hub is run by the Council for Investing in Female Entrepreneurs (CIFE). The Council’s members include a range of financial institutions, advisory services companies and government organisations.
